EXPLORING CREATIVITY THROUGH ARTISTS’ REFLECTIONS

The concept of creativity has been theorized and debated for millennia, dating back to the Greek philosopher Plato, who referred “divine madness” in poets. Debates continue as whether is a gift or talent, product genius gene, side effect mental health conditions, if it learned nurtured through environments societies which an individual grows develops. While there wealth research that sets out define creativity, numerous theoretical models have emerged since early part 20th century, little involves artists reflecting on concept. In order explore this area, study surveyed 314 from range countries, using online survey, invited them reflect how they understand within their artistic practice. findings reveal complex term understandings demonstrated by those practice art-making. Questions key stakeholders education policy are also raised, terms role place society.
